Fall Walleye on the Bay of Quinte

The fall season starts in early September and runs until ice up, typically late Nov or early Dec. This is the season the Bay of Quinte is famous for and the large mature walleye migrate back from Lake Ontario. Trophy walleye are the target and although catch rates are lower then the spring, walleye up to 15 lbs are possible and walleye over 10 lbs are frequent. Trophy fish are possible anytime in the fall, however as the season progresses walleye continue to migrate into the Bay and catch rates increase.
